Achieving our perfect lives sits in the crossroads between being downright delirious and yet ā€˜grounded-ly’ strategic. It requires us to believe the impossible, dream up the improbable, and stay grounded and rooted in reality.

It’s easy to say, ā€œI’m going to be a millionaireā€ when you have no pressure to really become a millionaire. It’s easy to say, ā€œI’m going to be successfulā€ when you are not yet placing any bets with the possibility of failure.

That’s why sometimes we end up hiding behind our dreams.

We say we believe in ourselves, but the truth is we don’t have the confidence to fail. Showing up and being vulnerable is the only way we can truly succeed with our goals and aspirations.

That’s where dreamlining comes in.

Dreamlining is a concept created by Tim Ferris in the 4-Hour Work Week, (a book I highly recommend by the way) where he asks you to write down your dream life and what it looks like. How much will it cost? How much exactly do you need? When you have a figure, start imagining different ways you can make that figure. What are you willing to do? How much time will it take? Who should you talk to to make it happen?

Connect your dreams to reality, and take bold steps and moves you may have been to shy to make before.

You don’t need a worksheet to dreamline, but I did write down the formula and create a sheet exercise to help you tap into this new mindset. Grab it for free here:
