The Avatar Trilogy
Cameron's Pandora as a parable of interbeing, Indigenous sovereignty, and staying in tune with a living planet.
What it is: James Cameron's Avatar films (Avatar, The Way of Water, and Fire and Ash), the epic of the Na'vi and their bond with Eywa, the living network of Pandora.
Why it matters to the New Earth: Under the spectacle is the clearest mainstream parable we have for interdependence, Indigenous sovereignty, and reverence for a living planet. Fire and Ash (2025) closes the arc with fire as hatred and trauma, and those who stay in tune with Mother Earth as the ones who endure.
What to do with it: Watch on the biggest screen you can find. Then notice where Pandora and our own earth rhyme.
